To be honest, I was not sure if I would be disappointed or not with this recipe. I love takeout, especially Chinese food so I was skeptical. Let. Me. Tell. You. This recipe for Beef & Broccoli is BETTER than takeout. It’s tender, flavorful & delicious. My whole family gobbled this up – no leftovers sadly. Try it out, I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
Ingredients for Crockpot Beef and Broccoli
2 lbs Sirloin Steak
1 Cup Beef Broth
½ Cup Low Sodium Soy Sauce
1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic
1/3 Cup Brown Sugar
2 Tablespoons Sesame Oil
2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
2 Tablespoons Cold Water
1 Cup Frozen Broccoli
Directions for Crockpot Beef & Broccoli
- Place the steak in the crockpot. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, beef broth, minced garlic, sesame oil and brown sugar. Pour this mixture on top of the steak in the crockpot.
- Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or on high for 3 hours until the beef is tender.
- Whisk together the cornstarch and cold water in a mixing bowl. Pour this mixture into the crockpot and stir until combined.
- Stir in the broccoli and cook on low for about 30 minutes or until sauce has thickened and broccoli is cooked through.
- Serve immediately over rice & enjoy!
