So it genuinely feels like I just sat down to write June’s goals and here we are talking about July. Honestly I can’t believe how quickly the months are flying. June was busy – Kylie graduated Pre-K, soccer finished up and we went on vacation during the last week of June. I also was offered and subsequently accepted a position as the Assistant Director of Outpatient Services at my current job (yay, promotion!). So to say the least June was a bit hectic. I am just finally getting back into the swing of things. Let’s recap!
JUNE RECAP
Watch 1 TED Talk.— Completed. I watched the TED talk by Peter Sage on Stop Waiting for Life to Happen. It was informative, but I wasn’t floored.
- Post 5 times on Mommy Above All. [Perhaps a lofty goal, but I can do it!!] — This was an epic fail. With everything going on, I did not get around to posting as much as I wanted to AT ALL.
- Create a summer bucket list with the family. [Something I am excited to create to maximize the fun and memories this summer]. — Also a fail. I did not get around to write a bucket list down.
Finish 1Book.— Completed. I finished The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F&*! by Mark Manson and it was brilliant. Loved reading this book and highly recommend it.
Plan out thesummer game planso that we have structure and fun at the same time. Think summer learning, kids chores, and fun activities. My husband will be home and I don’t want him to lose his mind. (Always thinking of you, hunny ).— Completed. I have filed folders filled with worksheets for the girls to complete each day. Their chore charts were also updated.
Book ourDisney Dining reservationsfor our trip in December. [Disney is a task. But I’m determined].Not easy, but completed. We have 2 reservations – one at Chef Mickeys and the other at Akershus.
Relax & enjoy the moments at the beach& take tons of pictures! [Probably the easiest of the goals].Nailed it. We came back from Bethany Beach, Delaware on June 30 and had a BLAST!
5/7 goals completed – not bad, considering it was a crazy month. Here’s what I have in mind for July.
JULY 2019 GOALS
- Post 4 times on Mommy Above All. I’m really hoping to get back into a groove and provide quality posts for you guys.
- Begin reading Turtles All The Way Down by John Green. I’ve heard a lot of amazing things about this book so I at least want to start it for July. With my track record for reading I know I probably won’t finish it, but at least get started.
- Start back with using the Cash Envelope system again. I was doing this before and it was working but then we moved away from it. I really want to get back to using these.
- Visit one state park or new lake/beach area with the family this month.
What are your goals for July? Tell me about them in the comments below!
