The M word – Monday. The most hated day of the week. I dread Mondays. It means my fun, relaxing weekend is over and it’s back to the grind. I have made Monday the bane of my existence by also making it my 11.5 hour day at work. I know, I’m a masochist. So, for the sake of getting through this day, and, well, every Monday after that – I give you – 8 Ways to Make the Most of Your Monday.
- Prep. Prep. Prep. As in Sunday night prep. Seriously – get everyone’s outfits ready, prepare the lunches, put the bags by the door – the more you do the night before, the less stressed you are in the morning.
- Drink your cup o’ joe or tea out of a really cute, endorphin boosting mug. I love my little fox mug from the Christmas Tree Shops. It always makes me smile – an impossible fete on a Monday morning.
- Sweat it Out. Probably not what you want to hear – but getting in some form of exercise helps set the tone for the day. Your blood is pumping and your endorphins are flowing. Since Monday is my late day I will do T-25 exercises. 25 minutes, sweaty and done.
- Prepare a Monday playlist. I am definitely THAT girl who blasts the 90’s gangsta rap and handles Monday like a boss. Whoomp There It Is!
- Treat Yo’Self – Reward yourself for getting through the day – buy a special coffee, pack a chocolate bar, a cookie, something sweet or special to keep you going. I like to start my Mondays with a Iced Coconut Milk Caramel Macchiato from Starbucks.
- Burn/warm wax melts in your office. I really love Glade’s Aruba Wave and Vanilla Passion Fruit – they make my office smell yummy.
- Rub Wild Orange Essential Oil on your wrists and neck. The citrus scent gives you a nice pick me up that is sometimes needed on a Monday.
- Dress up! When you look good, you feel good.
