So I am getting this meal plan out a little later than I thought I would but here it is anyway. I went to Walmart yesterday and bought $100 worth of groceries to get me through this week and part of next week. Our monthly grocery budget for a family of 4 is about $400, give or take. I try to use coupons as much as I can and I do tend to plan around sales – especially the meats that are on sale. This week there were good deals on stew meat and pork tenderloin, which are two of the meals we are having. If you want to hear more of how I budget for our groceries, let me know in the comments. Here are our meals for the week:
Monday – Beef Stew in the Crockpot (served with crescent rolls)
Tuesday – Baked Spaghetti (with salad and garlic bread)
Wednesday – Pork Tenderloin (served with mashed potatoes and broccoli)
Thursday – Chicken Quesadillas
Friday – Frozen Pizza (with a salad)
Saturday – Raviolis with Meat Sauce (with a salad)
Sunday – Meatloaf (with peas and oven roasted potatoes)
Below is a picture of the receipt from Walmart for all of the food I purchased for the next week and a half. Some of the side veggies I got from a local grocer (salad stuff, broccoli) for less than $5, and the garlic bread and crescent rolls were things I had in my fridge/freezer. Happy Meal Planning!
