We are at the end of March and I am so happy to see that Spring is finally starting to grace us with her presence. It has been a long and snowy winter and truth be told I am over it. I am ready for gardening, sunshine, and playing outside. As March draws to a close, I wanted to share a few of my favorite things for the month of March. I have gotten a few things this month that I absolutely love and really wanted to share. The list includes books, planner goodies, accessories and the like. I’ve also left some links just in case you wanted to check them out for yourself. Here are my March favs:
My first purchase for March was a Classic Happy Planner (12 month, Vertical layout,) and the budget pack from Me and My Big Ideas. Don’t be fooled, I still love my Erin Condren, and am not trading her in, but I wanted something to keep track of my expenses. I have been keeping a budget in a plain 15 cent notebook, but I wanted to try out the MAMBI Budget Extension pack ($9.99) to see if it helps me keep track of things better. Let me tell you, it does, it really, really does. I bought the planner on sale at Michael’s and you can definitely try and score a planner for a cheap price before they put out the new inventory for June/July planners. With the help of the budget extension pack, I have been keeping a log of all of my expenses, bills, income all in one very organized, very pretty place.
My second favorite for the month are the sticker books I purchased for my budget and Erin Condren planner. When I was buying the Happy Planner to be my budget planner, I also bought the budget sticker book from MAMBI at Michael’s. Later in the month I grabbed the Rainbow, Sports, and Squad Goals sticker books. I got these on super sale for about $8 each on Michaels.com thanks to the lovely planner friends I have made on social media. I am loving each and every one of these sticker books – they are all colorful, fun and necessary.
My third love for March is this amazing purse I got at Target from the brand A New Day. My husband actually walked up to it and said “this is so something you would love” and bought it for me. It’s in a beautiful mint green color which is perfect for spring. It can be worn as a cross body or by it’s two handles. It has tons of room and lots of pockets which I love. I have been using it every day since he bought it for me – it even fits my Erin Condren planner!
Another thing I have been loving this month is this dry shampoo from Herbal Essences. I bought it at Target in a travel size version because I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it. I have naturally curly hair so when I straighten my hair with a flat iron I usually try to keep the style for at least 2 days to keep my hair from being too damaged by heat styling. I wanted to see if the dry shampoo would work on my hair to help keep the style and it totally does. In my opinion, it helps make my hair look like it was just washed and it smells amazing. It was only $2.50 when I bought it, which was not bad. I have been using it a lot and I still have a lot left so it is definitely worth the money. If you have never tried dry shampoo, I would definitely suggest this one but buy it in a travel size version just in case it doesn’t work well with your type of hair.
My last favorites for the month of March are two books that I purchased this month. I am not a huge reader – and really only because I have trouble finding the time to read especially with two young children. I have made it one of my 2018 goals to practice self-care more often, and reading books is a part of that. I picked up Jen Sincero’s book You Are A Bad Ass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life. I have heard a lot about this book, particularly from clients that I have had that suffer from anxiety – they told me the book was a game changer so I wanted to see for myself. I only just started reading it, but so far I like what I am reading. The other book I picked up is A.J. Finn’s The Woman in the Window and this book is more of the kind of book I enjoy for pleasure reading. It’s a psychological thriller and definitely has me not wanting to put my book down. I definitely recommend either one of these books for spring/summer reading.
So there you have it – that about sums up my favorites for the month of March. Did you purchase anything this month that you are absolutely loving? If so, tell me about it in the comments.
XO
