Plan with Me – A Week In July

Hey guys! I am still using my Erin Condren Life Planner to keep my life organized & to help manage my time. I love watching Plan With Me style videos, and it depends on the week in regards to how I plan but I thought I would do a post on how I planned an upcoming week and take some pictures to show you as I move through the process. 🙂 (This post is chock full of photos…consider yourself warned)

To get started planning, I just need my Erin Condren planner, my stickers (a mix of stickers from Etsy and the MAMBI sticker books), and my bag of pens. The majority of the pens I have are Paper Mate InkJoy Gel Pens in 0.7 ink. Those are my favorite pens at the moment. I got these pens from Amazon – I found their pack of 14 pens to be of great value. I do have some Paper Mate Flair pens as well. I love matching the colors to my spread, to me it just adds more flavor to the spread.  I typically plan on a Saturday or Sunday and try to stay 2 weeks ahead so I know what is coming up.

Here’s a look again at my Erin Condren cover. I’m hoping to get some new covers so I can change it up for fall and winter soon!

I first check my monthly view to see if I have anything major going on. When I head to my weekly view, I start on my sidebar. Here I tracked daily habits like my medication, my work schedule, a gratitude list, and a bill I have to pay.

The first stickers I put in are my full boxes. This week I used the leftovers of 2 kits I bought from Brandy’s Shop. Because I am a white space/functional planner I don’t use every single sticker every week so I have a lot of leftovers. I don’t write in my to-do lists yet, I usually write them in the night before because it really depends on what all I accomplished that day.

I always put checklists down on the weekend because I use this to keep track of what needs to get done/be cleaned over the weekend. I also place the little meal labels from the kits at the bottom of the last boxes to help with meal planning my dinners.

Mondays and Tuesdays at work I typically have a lot of things to get done/catch up on so I added heart checklists to those days to keep track of the tasks that I need to get done. Monday is also a rough day after a weekend so I will typically go and buy myself an Iced Coffee to help motivate me. I marked that with a Treat Yo’ Self sticker from the MAMBI sticker books and the coffee cup from the kit from Brandys Shop.

I use this cute Flossy Birthday sticker from Marshmallow Studio to mark a birthday party that we will be attending. I also love to mark off the weekend in some way. This time I used an I heart the weekend banner from the Squad Goals MAMBI sticker book. I also marked time to work in my planner on Sunday with a cute sticker from Megan Renee plans.🙂

For my weekend checklists I add some fun stickers to help motivate me to get the tasks done. These two stickers (the mop bucket and guinea pig) are both from Marshmallow Studio. I use them to mark cleaning my floors and when I have to clean my guinea pigs cage. I use one of my laptop stickers write in my blog posts I’m planning to do for the week. I usually plan on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday for the next week, and I do blog posts on Saturdays and Sundays, so this way I know quickly which posts I’m working on,  and then I can just toss it when I get everything scheduled for the week.

Here’s a glance at the whole week. As you can see there is plenty of white space so I can add things as they come up.

Here’s a look at some of the stickers I used from the different Etsy Shops. I used the little laptop stickers to help mark when I want to do a blog post. They are from Sweet Ava’s Shop.

I hope this was helpful for you to see how I setup my week. There is no right or wrong way to do it, you could use tons of stickers or no stickers, you could color code- whatever works best for you! My weeks are never the same in a lot of ways so the way my spreads look week to week tends to change as well. I may do periodic updates to show you all how I’m setting my planner up. Let me know if that’s something you find interesting!
