Rehoboth Beach

A couple of years ago, my dad moved down to Delaware and one of our favorite places to go visit now is Rehoboth Beach, DE. We have gone down there every year since he moved and my kids and I look forward to our little vacation with my dad every year. It is a nice beach town just north of Ocean City, MD and it has a lot of amazing things to offer.  If you are ever in the area or are looking for a nice family friendly beach vacation, Rehoboth should be on your radar – whether it be for the day or a week, there are tons of things to do. I came up with 5 different things in Rehoboth that are must-dos if you are in the area and I have included some pictures that I have taken on different trips we have taken to Rehoboth as well.

The boardwalk – I love Rehoboth’s boardwalk. It has all kinds of cool shops, places to eat (Thrasher’s French Fries – yum!) – it is a lot of fun with lots of stuff to do and see.

Funland – Located on the boardwalk, we stumbled across this place looking to get out of the rain. It is amusement park that the majority is covered so it’s great for a rainy day at the beach. It has tons of rides and games for the kids for a reasonable price. Our favorite was the haunted house.

Assateague Island – ok, ok, it is not in Rehoboth – or Delaware for that matter. But, it is close by in neighboring Maryland and it really is a must see! It is a state park and beach where the horses roam free. They are wild horses – so you cannot touch them or feed them – in fact you really want to steer clear because they can bite and kick. But they are beautiful to watch. They trot past the cars, roam onto the beach and even go into the water. The kids love going to see the horses.

Outlets – What’s a vacation without a little shopping? The Tanger outlets in Rehoboth My favorite stores include Yankee Candle, Michael Kors, J Crew, Tory Burch, Old Navy, Children’s Place and Alex and Ani. I could keep going, but I’m trying to contain my excitement, lol.

Beach – Last but not least – the beach. It is the entire reason we go. My kids love this beach. It is very family friendly, clean and the sand and water are amazing. It’s never really super crowded and the sand is awesome for building sand castles.

Hopefully the next time you are looking to book a beach vacation Rehoboth is on your list of places to go. I promise, you will not be disappointed! If you have been, are there any places that you recommend that I am missing?
