Sunday Habits

Sundays don’t have to be a day of mourning your weekend. In reality, they are the best day to refresh, recharge and start your week off on the best foot possible.

Today I am going to be sharing 10 things you can do on Sundays to help you have the most productive week possible.

Family & Me Time

Family Time – I start off my Sunday in the best possible way – by spending quality time with my family. My husband or I will make a big breakfast or we will go out to eat (our Sunday fav is Cracker Barrel). After breakfast we will go to the park or do something fun with the kids. When we come home, everyone is happy, relaxed and ready to prep for the week. Our kids do chores and we are able to concentrate on our own tasks.

Self-Care – To end my Sunday, after we put our daughters to bed, I will go upstairs and do a little self-care routine. It can be as simple as putting on a face mask or taking a bubble bath. It is a little me time that I have to help recharge my body and my mind and get me prepared for a long week ahead.

Clean & Organize

Clean Out Your Car – Sundays are the best day to clean out the car so it’s ready to go for the week. This means picking up all the junk that magically makes it way into your car. After it’s cleaned out, my husband will take my car down to the car wash about every 2 weeks. It comes back all nice and vacuumed and new car smelling. I love starting the week off with a clean car, it always makes me happy.

Clean Out Your Purse – Like my car, my purse becomes a dumping ground for everything and everyone. We’re talking receipts, napkins, change, pens, toys, snacks, wrappers. On Sunday morning I will go through my purse, reorganize everything, file & upload my receipts onto Fetch (you can use my code here for Fetch for free points) and put everything in the right compartments.

Clean Out Your Inbox– It seems on the weekend I get a ton of spam emails from stores. I like going through my emails and deleting all of the junk so that I start off with a clean slate on Monday.

Prep Time

Meal Prep – I do my meal plan and grocery shopping on Fridays, but I prep for the week on Sunday. This may mean pre-cutting veggies for dinner or lunches, washing the fruit and veggies, refilling snack bins, assembling snack bags, or starting on Sunday dinner.

Plan Out Outfits for the Week – Before dinner, I go upstairs with my daughters and get all of our clothes ready. I make sure they are steamed and clean & ready for the week. This makes it super easy in the mornings and we’re not searching everywhere for shirts or sweaters.

Work in My Planner – Every Sunday I sit down and plan in my work planner as well as my weekly Life Planner. You can check out some YouTube videos I made about how I plan here. I go through my planner writing in appointments, practices, and seeing what is going on for the week. The planner I use is the Erin Condren Life Planner, for a $10 off coupon, you can use my referral link by clicking here. (I do earn $10 merchandise credit if you purchase through this link).

Make A To-Do List – I spend about 10-15 minutes then creating a to-do list of things that I want to accomplish for the week. This includes errands or tasks for work and home like any decluttering projects.

Review the Budget – I typically do this with my husband. We review our income, bills, and spending for that week. We check how much money we spent and then fix our plan accordingly for the coming week.

Those are my 10 must-do’s for my Sunday. What types of things do you like to do on Sundays to set yourself up for an amazing week ahead? Comment below!
