Hey guys! I am trying something a little different and am linking up with Shay and Sheaffer for What’s Up Wednesday where we’re invited to share a little bit of everything that we have been up to for the past month.
On this last week of April here’s what’s been up in my neck of the woods…
What’s Up Wednesday
What we are eating this week
Sunday: Hamburgers & hot dogs and fresh corn
Monday: Spanish Pasta, salad and garlic bread
Tuesday: Chicken Quesadillas
Wednesday: Chicken Picatta with asparagus
Thursday: Steaks on the grill, yellow rice and salad
Friday: Chicken lettuce wraps with fried rice
Saturday: Chicken cutlets with mashed potatoes and fresh corn
What I’m loving
The Spring weather. It’s been warm & beautiful (with the exception of the cold this week) with an occasional rainy/stormy day.
What we’ve been up to
Soccer, soccer and more soccer. Although Thursday night my youngest fell during practice (twice) and broke her wrist. So she is out for at least 3 weeks. Sigh. We’re also in the midst of finalizing some plans for summer including camp sign ups.
What I’m dreading
With the busy season now underway I am honestly dreading not having a weekly planner to help me curb the craziness in a way that I want to. If you want to hear more about my dilemma, you can watch it here to get a better understanding of what I’m talking about. I could go out and just buy a planner to fill the next two months, as my new planner starts in July, but honestly I feel like it’s wasteful and have just been using my daily planner to help guide my days.
What I’m working on
A new series for my blog for Fridays. I am excited to get started and am hoping to start it the first Friday in May. Stay tuned!
What I’m excited about
Summer, cookouts, sitting outside around the fire, s’mores, going to zoos and parks and doing all the fun things outdoors.
What I’m watching/reading
I am currently watching Season 3 of Ted Lasso – if you haven’t seen it, it’s hilarious and I seriously could watch it over and over and not get bored. I am also a fan of trash reality tv to help me decompress from work – so Real Housewives of New Jersey is currently on rotation as well.
I am reading It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover. I have not much of a reader these days, so I am maybe a chapter or two in. So far it’s good, but again I have to be in the mood to read.
What I’m listening to
I have never been a fan of pod casts, probably because I have never found one that caught my interest to continue listening. When I’m in the car, the regular radio is on. When I am working, I play relaxation music on Amazon music and when I am home I will listen to a motivational Ted Talk or two. When I am in spring cleaning mode I put in my Air pods and listen to Youtubers as they clean their houses. Sounds crazy, but I find it motivational and helpful – kind of like a buddy system especially when it comes to tasks that I dislike (cleaning).
What I’m wearing
Honestly, I’m not a fashion blogger, so I doubt anyone cares but for the purpose of this post – since it’s Spring/Winter here in NEPA, it’s been leggings, t-shirt or button down with a sweater. Needing all the layers this time of year because in the morning it’s winter but by the afternoon it’s spring/summer. I get my clothes from a variety of places but my favorite stores are Target, Old Navy and Walmart for clothes at the moment. Nothing fancy, I like simple, classic, and affordable.
What I’m doing this weekend
My oldest still has soccer so we will be going to a couple of games. Aside from that, I have some shopping to do and will be spending time with some friends and of course my family.
What I’m looking forward to next month
Next month is literally right around the corner. I am looking forward to warmer weather, Mother’s Day, and finishing up my garden. Right now I have peppers and cucumber planted indoors and I can’t wait to get to put out flowers and set up my backyard for summer. Other things that I hope to plant include tomatoes, basil, garlic and some lettuce.
What else is new
Honestly, not much new is going on here. A lot of soccer, work, rinse & repeat.
I hope you enjoyed this What’s Up Wednesday link up on my blog today. If you are new here, welcome – glad to have you and I hope you follow along!
Talk to you guys soon!
Xx Morgan

So excited Spring weather is finally here. Kids sports certainly takes a lot of planning and work to get everyone where then need to be when they need to be there, but would not have it any other way.
It is def a lot of planning and work but worth it in the end for sure. Thanks for stopping by!
My son is playing soccer this summer so we’ll be spending lots of time at the fields. I hope your kid’s wrist heals well. And thanks for reminding me of Old Navy. I need to check out their latest offerings. I always forget to shop there but usually find something I like!
