Hey guys! I have not been the best at blogging – work has been a little busy. So I am teaming up with Shay and Sheaffer for What’s Up Wednesday again to catch ya’ll up on what’s been going on. So if you don’t know what What’s Up Wednesday is – this is where we’re invited to share a little bit of everything that we have been up to for the past month.
On this last week of February here’s what we’ve been up to…
What’s Up Wednesday
What we are eating this week….
Sunday: Rotisserie Chicken (from BJs), Corn
Monday: Crockpot Pot Roast with Fresh Bread and Mashed Potatoes
Tuesday: Tacos (I made myself a taco salad)
Wednesday: Crockpot Chicken & Stuffing
Thursday: Baked Spaghetti
Friday: Chicken lettuce wraps with fried rice
Saturday: Carne Guisada over white rice
What I’m Loving
My new haircut! I got it cut last week & highlighted – I’ve been putting it off because I didn’t know a hairstylist down here in DE but I found one and I love it. Nice and short for Spring. I’ve also been loving all the family time this month.
What We’ve Been Up To
Work… it’s been very busy which is why I haven’t been posting as much. Other than that – this month was my youngest daughter’s and my niece’s birthday and we were celebrating that with family. We went to an arcade and trampoline park to celebrate their birthdays and that was a ton of fun.
My husband and I also celebrated our 14th anniversary so we went out to dinner and celebrated. I can’t believe it’s been 14 years. Crazy.
What I’m Dreading
I have been dealing with cluster migraines and I have been dreading those. They started in the middle of the month and have been tormenting me on almost a daily basis. I am in the process of trying different remedies and medications to see what is going on and am awaiting a neurologist appointment.
What I’m Working On
Right now I am just trying to keep my work/life balance in check and keeping up with self-care. I have been a little more stressed lately which I think is what is contributing to the headaches so I am making an effort to be more intentional with days off and taking breaks when I need to.
What I’m Excited About
I am looking forward to celebrating Easter in March & having family here for that weekend. My sister-in-law and two nieces will be staying here as well as my brother-in-law and his wife. It will also be the first Easter in many, many years I will be able to spend with my dad which I am excited about. It has been so fun hosting a lot of holidays and I love when the fam is able to come and stay.
My husband and I have also been very intentional on spending quality time with the girls and giving them the opportunity to pick activities and things that they want to do – similar to having a yes day. An example of that would be one night we all went on an ice cream date before dinner – so I am excited to continue doing those types of things because the girls love it.
What I’m Watching/Reading
We just finished Griselda on Netflix. I am not sure how I feel about it. I kind of feel like they romanticized her character a bit to make you feel bad for her. For what she did and what she was able to accomplish in the drug trade I have a hard time feeling any kind of sorry for a person like that. But I watched it – it was alright. I have also been watching the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as well.
I picked up Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng but honestly have not started to read it with all the migraines I have been having.
What I’m Wearing
A lot of sweaters and pant suits for work. Most of my stuff is from Old Navy, Torrid, Target, Amazon or Walmart.
What I’m Doing This Weekend
I am not sure – we have been enjoying our free weekends which is about to come to an end as soccer season will start again soon.
What I’m Looking Forward To Next Month
I am for sure looking forward to it getting darker, later. I am over the darkness. I am also looking forward to soccer season. I love watching my girls play.
What Else Is New
Not much else – a lot of work and family time which is not a bad thing.
So, that’s a wrap on this What’s Up Wednesday link up on my blog today. I hope you enjoyed it and if you are new here, welcome – I am glad you stopped by and I hope you continue to follow along!
Talk to you guys soon!
